This is a highly rewarding but challenging role located in our Robina Office within the busy Drafting team on this 12 Month Maximum Term role initially.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Will need to be able to draw a wide scope of homes;
  • Accurately using AutoCAD and Revit to prepare and complete architectural drawings within designated time frames;
  • Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described, as well as in accordance with Metricon standards;
  • Produce drawings to support stages of the workflow process to reflect the customers’ requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits;
  • Ensure that relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors are maintained and improved; and
  • Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

    • The successful candidate will have:
  • Successful completion of a Diploma of Building Design & Drafting, Diploma of Architectural Drafting or equivalent practical experience;
  • Experience in the residential home building industry in a design or drafting capacity is a MUST!!!;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A sound understanding/knowledge of the Australian construction process;
  • Working knowledge of the residential home construction process; and
  • A strong understanding of the NCC, QDC, BCA, 5 Star Energy Rating System, sustainability principles, and developer guidelines.
