We are now looking for a trade qualified, QBCC Open licenced Builder / Nominee Supervisor to Act as Ausenco’s Licenced Nominee in order to supervise building works and ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

This is an immediate, part time fixed-term opportunity to end of March 2022 and will primarily supervise a key, EPCM Gold Mine expansion project located in North Queensland, approximately 1.5-hour drive from Townsville. I deally, we are looking for local candidates who are interested and available to work flexibility from one to a few days per week with travel between home office and site as required.

• To represent Ausenco as their licenced nominee to supervise all building works, in accordance with the Qld Building and Construction Commission Act 1991
• Assist in the development and submittal of building permits or applications
• Coordinate third party and regulatory building inspections
• Engineering reviews
• Liaise with contractors management, quality, safety and site personnel
• Maintain a risk register of any/all identified risks
• Report progress to the Steering Committee

• A current QBCC Builder – Open licence (subclass “Nominee Supervisor”) (mandatory)
• Trade qualification and relevant experience (Carpenter, builder, concreter or similar)
• Strong demonstrated experience in construction of civil infrastructure or mining projects (preferred)
• A working knowledge of the NCC, QBCC Standards and Tolerances and WH&S
• An aptitude for creating, reading and interpreting scopes of work, designs and drawings/plans
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Strong quality orientation, attention to detail and the ability to ensure the highest quality of finishes from your trade team
• A proactive nature and be keen to work as a member of highly successful KPI driven team
• Strong commitment to Safety and OH&S processes and procedures.
