At SA Water our workshopsnbsp;provide maintenance and capital delivery services, specialising in Electrical, Fabrication, Mechanical, Condition Monitoring, Cathodic Protection and Diving services.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Electrical Tradesperson to join the electrical team at SA Waters Port Lincoln Workshop.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working under broad direction, the role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of water, waste water amp; pipeline electrical, instrumentation and telemetry infrastructure predominantly within the wider Eyre Peninsular region of South Australia.

To be considered for this role, applicants MUST possess the following:

* Unrestricted A class electrical licence with industry experience in the industrial sector.
* Experience in diagnosing faults with, and the repair of, complex electrical control systems
* Experience in PLC programming, maintenance amp; troubleshooting preferably on the Allen Bradley and Siemens automation platforms
* Current drivers licence
* A firm commitment to Workplace Health amp; Safety and have a sound understanding of WHS legislation and safe systems of work.
* The ability to write, interpret and update safety documentation such as JHA amp; SWMS documents.

The following experience / qualifications will be highly regarded:

* Experience with instrumentation apparatus including flow meters, ultrasonics, displays, level sensors, analogue signal processing equipment amp; chemical dosing equipment
* Possess a good understanding of digital DNP3 compliant SCADA / telemetry systems and infrastructure, and preferably have experience with field RTU hardware and narrowband data radio networks
* Chlorine operators / awareness certificate
* Experience within the water amp; wastewater industry and hold a Cert III in Water Operations

The successful applicant will be required to work overtime with minimal notice and will participate in an on-call after hours roster after a qualifying period, attracting generous allowances and recall provisions.nbsp; This position involves travelling to and working in remote locations under limited supervision. Intrastate work involving overnight stays away from home will be required.

A fully maintained company vehicle, uniform, PPE, laptop amp; mobile phone will be supplied, along with all tools other than basic hand tools.nbsp;

A salary commencing atnbsp;$69,663.20nbsp; + superannuation + allowances + overtime will be offered
