We are currently seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineer with 2 to 3 years’ experience in an operational or design engineering role of controls systems to join our Support team in Brisbane. This role involves working closely with the Operations teams, as well as continuous interactions with our operations sites to deliver high quality solutions and will require travel to our sites for hands-on support.
 
What does this role involve?

  • Providing full Electrical and Control system support on a day-to-day basis with a focus on safety, reliability, availability, and throughput of the operational sites.
  • Work alongside Process and Maintenance & Reliability Engineers in a multi-discipline support group, to optimise plant performance through delivering technical support services to the operations sites through data analysis, identifying plant improvements and implementation of plant modifications as required.

 
What are we looking for in our future team member?

  • PLC (Allen Bradley/Rockwell) & CitectSCADA knowledge & skills are essential, with Schneider UnityPro exposure advantageous.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or Controls)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, with initiative and a motivated self-starter
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise personal workload and make necessary adjustments in meeting critical deadlines with a client focus
  • A sound knowledge of engineering codes and standards, relevant by-laws and standard industry practices
