JOB DESCRIPTION
The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) is a self-funded, state government statutory authority that provides tenancy information and support, bond management, dispute resolution, investigation, and education services. RTA's vision is “Renting that works for everyone”.
The RTA administers the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (the Act). The RTA works with all sector groups including tenants, property managers and owners, community and industry stakeholder groups and the Queensland Government.
The role of the Solution Architect is required to provide project management leadership, support, and advice for allocated RTA projects using recognised and approved formal project management methodology. This role will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated experience developing and presenting business cases to various stakeholders and ELT outlining the key project requirements, timeframes, and required project support;
- Proven ability leading and developing infrastructure and cloud migration projects with particular experience in virtualisation and cloud technologies including VMware and MS Azure;
- Demonstrated ability to review, understand, and contribute to roadmaps for future enhancement of the technologies in use at the RTA;
- The ability to collaborate and partner with key internal and external stakeholders and vendors to ensure the delivery of solutions to determine success;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to identify and drive the continual improvement of project management methodologies;
- The ability to work under pressure in an environment of competing priorities and managing multiple tasks within strict deadlines;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with infrastructure and cloud domain solution design; and
- Previous experience working within the Government at a State or Federal level is desired but not essential.
