Excel Recruitment/Rexco People are currently recruiting for experienced automotive trade assistant to join their afternoon team. Our client is a market leader in the automotive body building industry – strategically placed in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, located in Derrimut.

The role requires a HC license and previous experience in the Automotive industry, primarily with experience in the workshop and the ability to use hand and power tools to assist a team of mechanics and fabricators to complete services and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers.

Duties :

• Assisting team members, mechanics and fabricators

• Repair and fault detection

• Shaping and fabricating parts

• Working with Heavy Vehicles

• Inspecting equipment for proper functioning.

Skills and Experience :

• MUST hold a HC Driver’s License

• Experience working on heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to fault find and think on your feet

• Ability to work to deadlines

• Previous trade assisting or general labouring experience

• Responsible for the quality of your own work

• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
