We are seeking to hire an Engineering Operations Lead to join our collaborative, high growth organisation located at our office based in Lane Cove, Sydney, Australia.

The Engineering Operations Lead will impact the organisation by leading various engineering projects, project/product cost analysis, quality improvements, NPI (New Product Introduction) management. This role will report to the Head of Engineering Operations and will work closely with other cross functional teams including Product Management, Quality, Hardware/Software, NPI/Production teams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead engineering tasks such as setting up triage and/or product refurb processes at our CM and/or 3PL.
• Project manage customer specific operational, maintenance and support projects.
• Lead full process for vendor selection and prepare executive summary for senior management.
• Champion product costs tracking during NPI phase, conduct thorough analysis and identify cost savings.
• Conduct detailed review of product Bills of Materials during transition from NPI to mass production.
• Ensure adherence to proper change control processes with detailed traceability for all product configuration changes.
• Manage Engineering quality audit processes internally within Engineering and external factories.
• Lead management and control of production quality issues.
• Provide effective coordination between various departments.

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Engineering, Supply Chain, General Management etc.).
• 7+ years’ experience in electronics product design and manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years’ experience in working directly with Contract Manufacturers and/or 3PL.
• NPI, Project Management, General Operations management and/or similar experience.
• Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong numerical aptitude with data analysis skills.
• Demonstrate high degree of independence and accountability.
• A "can do" attitude with a high attention to detail.
