In this role as a Solution Architect within the Data Domain, you will be initially working on the Hubble program which is creating a contemporary data platform to support equity market downstream applications utilising containerised environments and microservices architecture. 

What you’ll do:

 Live the ASX Values; to BE Open, Trustworthy, Original and The Example

 Manage and lead the design and development of Solution Architecture across multiple data projects in the ASX.

 Represent and champion the solution architecture across governance forums and stakeholders

 Provide technical leadership in the production of technical solution designs, high quality functional specifications and other technical/documentation as required.

 Be a key contributor to the Technology team, and ensure strong partnership across the functions (Engineering, Delivery, Infrastructure, Support, Operations)

 Be accountable for solution architecture and integration of ASX internal and vendor based IT solutions, working with colleagues from across the business who have a strong focus and interest in technology, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture guidelines.

 Work very closely with the Engineering team to ensure delivered systems align with the Technology architectural strategy and the principals relating to software integrity and reusability

 Adhere to ASX processes, methodologies, standards and policies in relation to IT enterprise architecture from a governance perspective

What you’ve done:

 Demonstrated communication skills, and the ability to view and explain technology from a customer perspective

 Demonstrated Stakeholder Management and Engagement.

 Experience working with and in container environments and with container management tools.

 Experience with Microservices Architecture and Cloud native design.

 Experience with the architecture of transactional RDBMS systems, Object Store Technology and high capacity data warehouse environments

 Experience with Visual Analytics, BI Tools, Data Migration and ETL strategies.

 Experience in Digital Financial Services and developing API-based and Service Oriented architecture

 Experience with maintaining legacy technology environm

ents, the strategy and architecture requirements that accompany that environment

 Experience with the architecture of mission critical, high transaction volume environments

 Experience with the full software development life-cycle using traditional and agile methodologies.

 Knowledge of multiple technologies including (but not limited to): Java, Kubernetes, TIBCO Spotfire, Talend Data Integrator, TIBCO BusinessWorks, Spark, Apache Geode and Kafka

 B.S. and / or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent And if you’ve got some of this, even better:

 High level analytical capabilities, applied to complex programs of work

 Working knowledge of a fully integrated Exchange environment would be highly beneficial

 Experience in the execution of high impact, enterprise-wide, strategic programs or initiatives
