The Opportunity

The Engineering Toolstoreperson is responsible for providing high level customer service to support the effective and efficient delivery of educational programs.

The Role

The position provides on and off class support in the learning environment and is responsible for class preparation, storing and monitoring supplies.

Reporting To The Staffing Pool Coordinator, This Position
  • Undertakes general cleaning, oiling maintenance and painting of workshop machines/equipment to ensure equipment is reliable and safe
  • Perform general cleaning of workshop
  • Maintain stock control systems including; prepare requisitions for goods and services, receipt, acquit and distribute goods and services and maintain adequate inventory of stores and equipment.
  • Implement environmental best practice standards, such as reclaiming materials for re-use/recycle, in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Preparation and issue of tools, equipment and materials required by students and staff for the conduct of classes.

If you have…
  • Have knowledge, skills and/or experience in the Engineering Industry
  • Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain (Desirable)
  • Have previous experience in maintaining store layout, store records and stock control.
  • Have the ability to support effective program delivery through maintenance of facilities, machinery, small machinery in stores and equipment.
