We’re reshaping pet food – an antiquated industry, and we're looking for a rockstar Senior Backend Engineer to join us in our mission.

At Lyka we prioritise data driven development, so by joining our team you'll be having a direct impact on the happiness of our customers and operations team as you build things they actually need. As a result you'll be working directly with the founders, finding the 80/20 so we can continually provide value to our customers. This is a challenging role with broad technical responsibilites where you will be playing a key role in shaping the future of the Lyka Platform.

You'll be part of our small, high-energy, rapid development tech team, helping us increase the impact of our current site by improving and expanding current features, while also leading new greenfield projects in both our customer relations and operations divisions. You'll be leaning heavily on your amazing analytical skills as you collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to help Lyka continue to nourish Australian puppers.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience as a backend developer (experience with PHP is a must)
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated
• Excellent communication and good team-work spirit
• Experience with implementing agile methodologies
• Comfort with version control and Github-based workflows
• A problem solver with strong attention to detail
