Synaco Recruitment is a major player in the Australia mining industry providing quality labour from tradesman, supervisors, labourers, and more. We provide short- and long-term opportunities to mine sites across Australia. For this role, we are seeking skilled Underground Service Engineers and Technicians to join our client on causal temp to permanent opportunities delivering successful solutions and maintenance to their underground coal mining division. 

Based out of both our client's major central QLD workshops (Rockhampton and Mackay) as well as on site at various coal mine sites in the Bowen Basin you will be responsible for;

• Travelling to both Rockhampton, Mackay, and mine sites for various works on their underground equipment
• Inspecting and commissioning Longwall AFC and shearers (Rockhampton)
• Participating in longwall compatibility for shearer, AFC, BSL and PRS (Mackay)
• Installing and commissioning of above equipment onsite at underground coal mine (Mine site)
• Ongoing support of the longwall and development equipment
• Development equipment maintenance

The right candidate will be required to have;

• Trade Qualification (Mechanical)
• Minimum of 5 years underground coal experience with Longwall maintenance or experience with Joy/Komatsu development maintenance (essential)
• Underground Coal Board Medical 
• Underground Standard 11
• Open driver license with no restrictions 
• Ability to pass D&A screening and pre-employment medical
