Locomotive Electrician Experienced
Work Location: Hedland Operations
Roster: 7D:7N:7R FIFO ex Perth
You will be responsible for carrying out electrical repairs and inspections on Fortescue’s Locomotive fleet. You will provide quality and safe electrical maintenance in an effective and timely manner. Additionally, you will carry out scheduled electrical maintenance and breakdown fault finding, complete service reports and identify part requirements.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Providing safe, effective and timely electrical maintenance to our equipment
- Electrical scheduled maintenance and breakdown fault finding on Dash9, SD70s and SD90 locomotives
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
- Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation
- Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety policy and procedures
Qualifications and skills required:
- Electrician Trade Certificate (Australian recognised)
- Current C-Class Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of troubleshooting Locomotive Equipment on board electronic and remote monitoring systems
- Extensive electrical experiences specifically Dash9, SD70 and SD90 locomotives
