About the role

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join Santos in our Adelaide office on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Team Leader Reliability Engineering, the purpose of this role is to safely deliver the Reliability business processes and outcomes to support the Cooper Midstream Operations.

Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop, optimize and mature asset Reliability Management Plans (RMPs) that underpin availability and reliability performance at or above targets
  • Develop and deliver Reliability improvement initiatives that input into the budgeting processes
  • Develop and maintain reliability processes in accordance with Corporate Standards
  • Management and ownership of equipment root cause analysis (RCAs)
  • Provide reliability engineering support to operations and maintenance personnel to achieve reliability goals and targets - dedicated asset focus
  • Ownership of condition monitoring programs
  • Asset Reliability KPI reporting

About you

You will bring your extensive experience in reliability and maintenance engineering to this role. Your exposure working with tools such as CMMS, Meridium Asset Performance Management Software, continuous improvement and root cause analysis systems will assist you to carry out the objectives set out in this position. Continuous improvement techniques are also an essential requirement. You will be a self-motivated professional, able to collaborate with and influence others to achieve reliability goals and targets. 

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree (Mechanical preferred) and ideally experience working with rotating equipment in the oil and gas or resources industries. This is an office-based role that will require some ad-hoc travel as required.
