Based in Adelaide eastern suburbs, an exciting opportunity now exists in the End-User Computing Engineering team. We are looking for individuals with a passion for innovation and automation of desktop and application rollouts using industry leading technologies. Experience in large-scale, enterprise deployments is a must as you’ll be working with some of our biggest clients.
Responsibilities
- Work within a high-paced, highly-specialised Level 3 support team
- Provide a high-level of technical expertise within the scope of end-user device management for both project pipelines and BAU support
- Customer-friendly approach to highly technical concepts to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
- Responsive to change, and willingness to drive new concepts to adopt modern device management principles
- Ability to take ownership of issues to completion, prioritise and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to follow and create documentation as required
- Ability to work unsupervised / remotely with great time management skills
- Experience using endpoint management tools eg SCCM, WorkSpace One/AirWatch
- Understanding of desktop support, troubleshooting, investigation and resolution from hardware to operating systems installation and support
- Automation with PowerShell, or other scripting language
- Experience with managing Windows 10 devices in an enterprise environment
- Remote troubleshooting skills
- Application Support
Preference for experience in one or more of the following specialties
- Operating System Management
- Operating System Deployment [OSD] using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit [MDT] & PXE
- Patch management & reporting with Windows 10
- Experience with vSphere or other virtualisation technologies
- Active Directory management
- Desktop virtualization (VDI, Horizon)
- Identity management vIDM, UEM
- SQL
- WSUS
- GitHub
- Experience in ICT, Systems Engineering, Application Development or related field; or
- Industry-based certification from a recognized Tier 1 industry vendor
- Understanding of the ITIL framework and practical use of service management processes and continuous improvement principles.
- Work environment can be a shared office space or remote working from home, additionally may require weekend work, shift work, or willingness to travel, eg to customer or other DXC sites.
- Comply with DXC policies and procedures which includes but not limited to legislative work health and safety [WHS] legislation.
- Essential:
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens or PR
- Applicant must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a National Police Check.
- Applicant must be eligible to obtain, Department of Human Services Working with Children & Aged Care Checks.
