About our Client:

About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to assist the Fixed Plant Department at Rio Tintoâs Tom Price. You will need a mechanical engineering background to support scoping and execution of small to medium sized projects in the Tom Price Fixed Plant. Key focus is to provide mechanical engineering expertise and support to develop, assess and implement improvement opportunities
Duties:
Provide engineering technical design, project engineering and project management expertise;
Provide engineering support to maintenance, operations and other engineering disciplines, to deliver solutions that maintain and sustain a safe and reliable plant;
Ensure design solutions comply with codes, standards and statutory requirements;
Deliver capital projects on time, on budget to an agreed scope.
Lead and implement improvement projects; and
Provide mechanical engineering support for the day to day operations of the plant.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum WA C Class Manual Drivers Licence
Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
Strong Mechanical Engineering Background, Especially in Fixed Plant
Specific Experience with crushers, chutes, conveyors etc. is preferred
Strong Commitment to Safety
Must be willing to complete a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
