We are partnering with a global mining company to source a Cost Engineer to join the site based project controls team and support the increased capital workload over the next 3 years.

Let us work around you! For the right candidate, our client is open to part-time, work from home and other flexible working arrangements. Ideally, you will be based in Gladstone, or willing to move, however, Brisbane based candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Key Accountabilities:

• Performing cost engineering activities on brownfield capital projects.
• Creating, maintaining, and reporting on project forecast and other project controls data.
• Working with the project managers, construction teams, and end-users to build relationships and support their objectives.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely receipt of deliverables and key milestones.
• Identify improvement or innovations opportunities for streamlining project controls work process.

About You:

• 10+ in project controls/ cost engineering
• Sustaining capital or portfolio management experience in a brownfield environment - working with multiple project managers simultaneously
• Can effectively engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups for timely project delivery
• SAP experience seen as highly desirable
