JOB DESCRIPTION
Lendlease Digital is searching for a Building Services Designer/Engineer to join our MX Studio team, based in Sydney.
Our team is building a technology platform, Podium, that will transform and disrupt the property and construction industry. We develop products that solve real problems and deliver solutions that are feasible, viable and desirable to our customers. Our core philosophy is “digital before physical, share data not files, fully simulated and tested before manufacture and assembly (not construct)”. As a team, we are innovative, brave, and continually learning and trying new ways of doing things.
The Role
As Building Services Designer/Engineer, you will play an integral role in managing and resolving our prefabrication strategies for our extensive global pipeline both physically and digitally. Working in the physical realm you will oversee product development in conjunction with our supply partners, working on innovative building services products and systems strategies that can be rapidly deployed on multiple projects around the globe. In the digital realm you will be working with our systems designers and automation team to ensure these products and systems are captured into our software for fit-for-purpose deployment and management throughout their lifecycle within our Podium ecosystem. The role will research and introduce cutting edge ways to improve efficiency and outputs.
As a subject matter expert in prefabricated building services, you will also be responsible managing the interface requirements between services and building elements including design, coordination, approval, installation, and commissioning and completion requirements of all services disciplines in conjunction with the project team on our pipeline projects in various regions around the world.
Requirements:
- Experienced Services Engineer/Services Manager on residential building projects (A$100m+). Commercial building experience would be highly desirable
- Strong familiarity with code compliance methodologies.
- Tertiary degree and/or trade qualification in relevant field
- Ability to think beyond the project level; we are approaching our industry from a digital-first mindset and as a system of systems, geared toward off-site fabrication.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, able to build trusting and respectful relationships with all levels of employees.
- 3d software and automation experience in Revit/Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper etc is a bonus.
Lendlease is a diverse, flexible and inclusive employer of choice. We engage, enable and empower our people. Inclusion sets all of us up for success.
