Due to ongoing and upcoming new projects in NSW, we currently have a number of exciting opportunities for mid and senior Civil Drafters to join our Sydney Transport Infrastructure team.
Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.
- Sound knowledge of CAD software, specifically AutoCAD
- Experience in civil infrastructure work
- Willing to work on multi-disciplinary projects
- Deliver consistently high technical quality in project outputs
- Assist in raising WSP’s technical standing, particularly the transport / engineering civil disciplines.
- Manage own time and output constraints effectively
- Manage / co-ordinate junior drafters to help deliver project outcomes
- Ensure quality, budget and time constraints are satisfied on all projects.
- Continue to develop technical expertise
- Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.
- Contribute as requested to the development of CAD and/or BIM support tools for the business.
- Communicate externally on behalf of the business, both written and verbally to the professional standard expected locally.
- Associate Diploma or Diploma in Drafting or work-based experience
- Experienced drafter with 3+ years’ experience in civil drafting.
- Demonstrate ability to work with a range of stakeholders at team and office level.
- Able to be flexible in daily activities to allow for the management of a varying workload
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of stakeholder engagement
