Due to ongoing and upcoming new projects in NSW, we currently have a number of exciting opportunities for mid and senior Civil Drafters to join our Sydney Transport Infrastructure team.

Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

• Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.
• Sound knowledge of CAD software, specifically AutoCAD
• Experience in civil infrastructure work
• Willing to work on multi-disciplinary projects
• Deliver consistently high technical quality in project outputs
• Assist in raising WSP’s technical standing, particularly the transport / engineering civil disciplines.
• Manage own time and output constraints effectively
• Manage / co-ordinate junior drafters to help deliver project outcomes
• Ensure quality, budget and time constraints are satisfied on all projects.
• Continue to develop technical expertise
• Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.
• Contribute as requested to the development of CAD and/or BIM support tools for the business.
• Communicate externally on behalf of the business, both written and verbally to the professional standard expected locally.
  

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following experience and qualities:

• Associate Diploma or Diploma in Drafting or work-based experience
• Experienced drafter with 3+ years’ experience in civil drafting.
• Demonstrate ability to work with a range of stakeholders at team and office level.
• Able to be flexible in daily activities to allow for the management of a varying workload
• Experience working on major infrastructure projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of stakeholder engagement
