Monash Health’s Engineering & Infrastructure Department employs over 50 people across all major Monash Health sites. The Engineering & Infrastructure team ensure our buildings and infrastructure assets are maintained to the high standard required of critical health services.

About The Role

The Engineering Manager strategically manages Monash Health’s engineering assets and infrastructure to meet the relevant statutory regulations, codes, guidelines, policies & procedures and Australian Standards. They will provide key leadership and direction for in-house trade teams and external providers.

About You

You are an experienced manager in the Engineering and Infrastructure industry an possess knowledge and experience in:

  • Provide leadership and direction and effectively manage the in-house trade teams and external service providers to ensure KPI are met. 

  • Manage building & infrastructure services of acute health service, research and teaching facility.

  • Regulatory & statutory compliance and OHS.

  • Strategic planning for infrastructure upgrades, critical assets replacement, and asset management plans.

  • Financial accountability.

  • Sustainability initiatives & Energy management

What you need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in electrical or mechanical trade.

  • Eligible for membership in the Institute of Hospital Engineers Australia (IHEA).

  • Demonstrated senior management experience in health facilities engineering or a similar complex facility.

  • Experience in the management of technical & trade staff

  • Demonstrated knowledge of plant performance & maintenance strategies

  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
