Engineering Application Programmer/Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to work within their facilities located in Brisbane, Australia for a 1year assignment.

Job Purpose

• Be an active member of a team of Software and Quality Engineers providing DevOps services to a variety of business functions across the organization
• Build fit-for-purpose implementations of new functionality in line with the organization’s Digital strategy to ensure customer requirements are met and customer risks are managed,
• Participate in development of the SMART consumer applications deployed in organization; enhance foundational technology including the organization Data Platform and associated data engineering tooling
• Engage with customers to understand and influence requirements. Be passionate about adding business value
• Help shape the future of organization Australia Digital programme
• Understand and embrace Agile and DevOps philosophies. Recognize and promote opportunities for process improvement.
  

• 4-7 years of corporate IT experience
• .NET Full Stack Developer (SQL Server, .NET Framework, ASP.NET)
• Modern Front End frameworks (Angular, Vue, Kendo UI)
• Azure Services (IaaS, SQL PaaS, Data Lake, Cosmos DB)
• Experience working in an Agile or DevOps software development environment, with a proven record of successful project delivery using this framework
• Oil and Gas Industry experience highly desirable
• Exposure to OsiSoft PI, Oracle, Microsoft SharePoint Online highly desirable
