Instaclustr are currently searching for an experienced Cassandra Techops Engineer to join our growing Tech family.

Skills and experience
You will have at least four years working experience in addition to:
-
Strong knowledge and experience in managing Apache Cassandra clusters at scale.

Strong knowledge and experience in administrating Cassandra migrations without downtime.

Designing and maintaining database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data master files.

Testing Cassandra database systems and upgrades, such as debugging, tracking, reproduction, logging and resolving all identified problems, according to approved quality testing scripts, procedures and processes.

Have extensive experience in identifying data modelling and architectural issues with Apache Cassandra.

Implementing and administering database documentation, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Strong knowledge and experience with Linux and be comfortable working fron the command line. This is essential, there are no GUIs here.

Programming skills in Python, Java, bash scripting, SQL and source code control using Git.

Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal English (essential).

Follow required processes and procedures to manage Cassandra databases in high availability environment.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task.Work as part of a team and use your initiative to get things done.
