Promotions within the wider business & ongoing expansionplans of this long hole open stoping operation have now dictated the need for an experiencedmining engineer to join the operations at Production Level, with a package$150,000 - $178,000 depend upon your skillset.

The position

You will be responsible for

  • The development and implementation of production plans of 1 & 7 Days
  • developing practical & cost effective designs and schedules
  • designing stopes and optimised drill & blast plans leading to maximum recovery with minimal dilution
  • interacting with the charge crew to create further optimisation
  • running reconciliation of mined plan versus actual & reporting significant deviations to the senior mining engineer
  • back/paste fill planning & operations
  • overseeing the main & ancillary mining contractor(s)
  • monitoring, and simulation of, mine ventilation and dewatering network.

About You

This role, FIFO from Perth, is for a mining engineer with afew years of Australian hardrock underground experience with sound production& reconciliation skills. You will be relevant degree qualified though moreimportantly, you will be experienced enough to undertake a number of thesetasks without supervision, with references from your previous mining manager /senior mining engineer to attest.

You will need to have experience using planning, scheduling& blasting software such as Surpac or Deswick and have undergroundexperience in a mechanised underground mine across haulage, mine services,drilling and charging and have experience with contractor mining.
