Promotions within the wider business & ongoing expansionplans of this open stoping operation have now dictated the need for an experiencedmining engineer to join the operations at SENIOR Level, with a package$150,000 - $215,000 depend upon your skillset.

The position

You will be responsible for

  • Acting as leader / mentor, unearthing the skills and interests of mining personnel in order to develop career paths
  • Working with the contractor, undertaking the daily co-ordination, prioritisation and scheduling of underground mining activities including development, production and paste fill activities alongside the mining contractor
  • Review and approve Weekly Schedules, Monthly Plans, Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Budgets; and providing technical assistance, supervising and lead the Production Engineering team
  • Review and approve Backfill designs;
  • Support Technical Services team to deliver accurate, safe and cost-effective MOP and Life of Mine Plan
  • Ensuring financial objectives are achieved
  • Embrace the ideation and review of ideas that will lead to business improvement
  • overseeing the main & ancillary mining contractor(s)
  • monitoring, and simulation of, mine ventilation and dewatering network team

About You

This role, FIFO from Perth, is for a mining engineer with afew years of Australian hardrock underground experience under your belt with sound production& reconciliation skills. You will be relevant degree qualified though moreimportantly, you will be experienced enough to undertake a number of thesetasks without supervision, with positive work references from your previous mining manager /senior mining engineer to attest.

You will need to have experience using planning, scheduling& blasting software such as Surpac or Deswick and have undergroundexperience in a mechanised underground mine across haulage, mine services,drilling and charging, have experience with contractor mining and paste fill.
