The role
Sedgwick is seeking a Building Consultant to come on-board on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have experience in Commercial and Residential building practices and be able to demonstrate extensive building knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and explaining the cause of building damage whether from design fault, defective building work or maintenance related issues
- Providing detailed assessment reports
- Preparing detailed scopes of work for repair of the damage
- Auditing building repair work with compliance to Australian Standards and/or the National Construction Code
- Extensive building experience
- A current Builders License or inspectors' qualifications
- Project management experience in a technical-commercial environment (highly regarded)
- A methodical and efficient approach to managing your time
- Be well presented, polite and have a friendly attitude
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Computer skills, experience across Microsoft suite and Microsoft Project
