Network Integration

To deliver transport priorities through the development and delivery of an integrated pipeline of projects and support the Major Transport Infrastructure Program.

Primary purpose of this role

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, Network Interface and Assurance, the Engineer, Network Interface and Assurance supports the provision of network interface and assurance services for the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) and other delivery agencies and operators on behalf of the Department of Transport (DoT). This role will have a hand in working on the Metro Tunnel project and focusing on the precinct surface works. 

Key requirements 

  • Exercise professional independent judgement in representing DoT to provided technical information guidance and feedback across the project lifecycle.
  • Exercise professional independent judgement to interpret drawings and specifications and anticipate potential operational, construction, material and disruption issues, seeking input from other areas as appropriate.
  • Apply innovative and specialist problem solving skills to provide advice to key stakeholders on project matters.
  • Ability to work in a team that promotes an environment of accountability, teamwork, customer focus and innovation.
  • Negotiate with and influence stakeholders to achieve successful project and network outcomes
