Our Client is an Adelaide based software development company that delivers R&D projects to the defence sector. Due to increased demand for their services, we are looking for Software Engineers with Simulation and Modelling capabilities to strengthen their existing team.

Working in a dynamic and flexible environment, you will be responsible for the design and development of Modelling & Simulation systems in relation to trajectory optimisation & propulsion systems, GUI development, and system performance analysis.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the working level interaction & collaboration on tool architecture development with international partners, planning and executing work accordingly.
  • Develop software and algorithms using C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Design software utilities and execution tools to facilitate various simulation deployment strategies.
  • Contribute to modelling, simulation and analysis projects, ensuring they are planned, implemented, executed and supported in a manner that will deliver the quality and impact required.
  • Undertake analysis of complex defence systems through the development of fit-for-purpose models.
  • Utilise your understanding of the context in which Defence operates in solving complex problems.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience in modelling, simulation, and analysis across a broad range of applications from operational analysis through to physics-based modelling.
  • Understanding of OOP, real-time systems, distributed computing, and testing.
  • Proficiency in C++ / Python /MATLAB.
  • Awareness of Systems Engineering principles and methodologies.
