JOB DESCRIPTION
UGL's Transport & Technology business have experience growth within our locomotive build division based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW and we are looking for Fabrication Tradespeople to join the team.
These roles will be offered on a 12 month fixed term contract under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working Monday – Friday from 6.00am – 2.30pm on a 40 hour work with monthly RDO.
About the role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on new build fabrication and assembly of locomotive frames, structures and pipe weld arrangements as well as general fabrication and workshop duties as required.
About You
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Metal Trades
- Ability to Interpret Engineering Drawings
- Dogging/Rigging tickets preferred
- Experience with GTAW to Ultrasonic quality
- MPI Level 2 preferred
- UT Level 2 preferred
- Ability to work to a fast paced production schedule
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
