About the Role

We are seeking a Consultant to join our FTI Consulting’s Construction Solutions practise in Perth. This is a full-time role offering excellent career opportunities and professional development for your future progression within the firm.

The Construction Solutions practice within FTI Consulting is a leading global provider of commercial management and dispute resolution services on complex projects across all construction, engineering and related industries. What You’ll Do

  • Advise contractors, subcontractors, lenders, developers, funders and lawyers on contractual, technical and commercial issues that relate to complex construction and engineering projects
  • Help clients resolve commercial disputes by establishing a clear, commercially driven strategy, promoting early resolution
  • Where litigation or arbitration is unavoidable, you will assist as an integrated part of our clients’ legal teams or with external legal counsel, providing support across the entire dispute life cycle, from research and analysis to arbitration, mediation or trial
  • Quantity surveying, cost management, commercial or contract management, contract administration, and/or forensic delay analysis
  • Providing support to senior members of the team involved in the preparation of contractual claims on construction and engineering projects
  • Primarily Perth based, possibly with some interstate and/or international travel
How You’ll Grow

This is an excellent opportunity for technically minded and commercially astute individual who is keen to develop their career in a construction and engineering related environment with a global provider of commercial management and dispute resolution services.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a construction or engineering environment, preferably in a commercial, contract administrator or cost engineering role
  • Tertiary qualifications in a surveying, construction management, engineering or mining discipline
  • An interest in construction law and dispute resolution, with a desire to progress a career with an international construction consultancy
  • An interest in pursuing a globally recognised professional qualification post-degree (e.g. attaining chartered status via the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or similar)
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Fully conversant with MS Office and possess excellent MS Excel skills
  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
