The Role

We are recruiting local Trade Assistants who have a passion for all things Mechanical, working beside trades Boilermakers, Welders & Mechanical Fitters. Assisting the tradesmen to prepare materials using multiple hand tools and procedures. 

About The Role:

• Casual Long term role with job stability and option to go Full time after 6 months
• Day or Afternoon shifts required Monday to Friday
• Day Shifts 6am to 2.30pm 
• Afternoon Shifts 2pm to 10.30pm
• Saturday and Sundays shifts currently manned on volunteer basis
• Night shifts may commence later in the year
• On the job training, our client invest a lot of time to enhance employee's skills and experience 
• Free onsite parking
• Supportive work culture who share a firm commitment to safety
• Clean productive workshop 

Successful applicants will have:

• Previous workshop experience - Necessity
• Good working ethic and attitude
• Current Forklift Licence (LF) Strongly Preferred 
• Overhead crane experience preferred
• Dogging/Rigging experience preferred 
• Able to work on one’s own initiative
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player & strong communicator
• Physically fit and be able to complete strenuous tasks 

Notes: Successful candidates will undergo the following prior to commencement:

• DAS (Drug Alcohol Screen)
• Reference checks
• Interview
• Site Induction
