Western Australia’s electricity market is undergoing significant reforms and Synergy has implemented several strategic initiatives to ensure we deliver optimum value and experiences to the WA community.


We have a transformation program to significantly improve our process safety and asset management practices by aligning the business process and functions with global best practice principles.


We are working on multiple engineering programs to improve the flexibility of our larger plants to help them keep the electricity networks secure and prices competitive for our customers. Additionally, we are upgrading our assets and negotiating performance standards for our extensive portfolio of generators.


You will be part of this significant shift and participate in the establishment and leadership of a high performing operational team, assisting the Generation Business Unit attain its vision of being recognised as a global top quartile electricity generator.


These projects and initiatives are guided by, and align to, Synergy’s mission to lead West Australians to their intelligent energy future and our newly refreshed corporate strategy. All in all, this makes Synergy an exciting place to be.


We are looking for committed team players to support our projects that possess expertise in the following areas:

  • Engineers – Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation, SCADA, Process Safety, Asset Management
  • Project managers / project engineers
  • Master Data specialists
  • Engineering Technical Officer – Electrical and Mechanical focused
  • Tradesperson – Instrument electrical technician, Mechanical fitter


Positions will be offered on a maximum term basis and depending on the role, you could be based at any of Synergy’s sites including Kwinana Power Station, Cockburn Power Station, Pinjar Power Station, Muja Power Station or in the Perth CBD in our Forrest Centre offices.
