Job Description


Due to a growing client base, we are seeking Project Surveyors to join our Construction Survey team.

Our Project Surveyors are responsible for the successful delivery of a range of Infrastructure projects, including transport, water, utilities, buildings and civil works. Objectives include: -

  • To provide high-quality survey output in an accurate, timely and safe manner to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients;
  • To develop and foster client relationships to secure repeat engagements;
  • To achieve productivity goals and assist in reaching project invoicing targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Coordinate accurate and timely fee proposals within Taylors guidelines upon consideration of all project outcomes;
  • Liaise with Unit Manager to determine most appropriate survey technology based on project requirements;
  • Liaise with Unit Manager to manage workflow outputs to meet project and budget requirements;
  • Coordinate field crew
  • Advise clients of accurate timeframes for completion of project milestones and anticipate submission requirements;
  • Consult with engineers, government authorities and other involved parties to obtain information relevant to project completion;
  • Undertake fundamental surveying field tasks such as use of GPS and Total Station, establishment of control networks and completion of a range of surveys for Infrastructure projects
  • Data reductions and plans in a range of software packages including but not limited to AutoCAD, Realworx, Microstation and AutoCAD MAP.

  • Recognised qualification in surveying (degree preferred);
  • Advanced knowledge of survey technologies including robotic total stations, GPS, terrestrial laser scanning, mobile laser scanning, UAV and GIS software
  • Intermediate to advanced LisCAD and ACAD skills;
  • Project management experience (including fee proposals, client liaison and invoicing);
  • Construction Induction Card (VPAU349 - Work Safely in the Construction Industry);
  • Level 2 First Aid (HLTFA311A - Apply First Aid);
  • Traffic Management (RIIOHS205A - Control Traffic with Stop/Slow Bat & RIIOHS302A - Implement Traffic Management Plans);
  • Current Driver’s licence and own transport.
