THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced all-rounder Automation Lead Consultant with non-functional automation experience that is skilled in presales and/or consulting for automation solutions, both open source and commercial tools, to join our automation practice here at Ampion for a full-time position based in Sydney.

You must be someone with good leadership capability as you will be required to be hands-on and get involved in delivery, designing solutions, and helping to see the end-to-end success through.

We are based in the Sydney CBD and offer cutting edge project work along with strong career growth. You will be working with a well-branded client base in the financial, wealth management, insurance, and software domains.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working as an Automation Lead or Senior Automation Consultant
• Highly experienced with consulting solutions for both open source and commercial automation tools (both functional and non-functional)
• Must have some sort of presales experience as you will need to be highly adept with presenting technical solutions to a range of different customers and stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
• Must have good experience with Enterprise Automation Tools (both hands-on and with providing solutions)
• Strong coding experience in a well-recognized language is highly valued (Java/C#/JavaScript)
• Must have good systems understanding, cloud, on-prem, legacy, web, microservices, etc
• Must have well-rounded domain experience and be able to apply the “right” automation solution for the right problem set on a selection of different technology stacks
• You will need to be more enterprise-level focused – not so much QE/Engineering as we have this area covered – this is not a Quality Engineering focused role

Desirable:

• You will ideally come from an enterprise and commercial consulting background
• Can form a convincing opinion on commercial tools, their feasibility, use-cases, and viability for Ampion to sell solutions for or partner with
