Due to business growth, we are seeking to back-fill a number of Network Security Engineer roles. We are keen to move quickly, so please dont wait and apply asap!
In this role, the Network Security Engineer is responsibile for ensuring that our subscribed customers and cloud security environments are maintained in accordance with contractual deliverables and meet the required Service Level Agreements (SLA).
The Network Security Engineer is responsible for the ongoing day to day security operational activities, which include the implementation of security requests; basic project involvement and installations; as well as incident and problem management to name a few.

Provide Incident response and resolution for security related tickets that includes, but not limited to; firewalls, proxy servers, intrusion detection / prevention, virtual private networks, cloud hosted systems and authentication services within the contracted SLA time.
Perform periodic security devices health check, backup and ensure integrity of weekly backups
Incorporate relevant security reporting information and data to produce monthly reports per agreed schedules.
Create and maintain work instructions for security services and operational tasks.
Provide onsite assistance and support to customers and field staff in the resolution of system and application type faults as required.

Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in a similar security, or network security role
Very good knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, routing and switching), and Unix based devices
Good analytical & problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, as well as the ability to work well in a dynamic environment
Good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications Desirable:

Bachelor Degree of IT (Security preferred)
Security vendor certification: Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto or Fortinet.
Citrix NetScaler, F5 experience
