Territory Generation is a Government Owned Corporation that was formed in 2014. We produce approximately
1900GWh of electricity per year to provide power to the people of the Northern Territory. Our vision is to be the

Role Responsibilities
You will assist with the operation, maintenance, repairs and installation of industrial equipment associated with power
generating plant that is operating on diesel and natural gas. Assist as required at other Territory Generation Sites. Key
accountabilities include:
1) Carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies, corporate
values and strategies.
2) Work within Territory Generation’s Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) processes and procedures.
3) Maintain the availability and reliability of the power station electrical generating plant and associated equipment.
4) Manage and investigate critical plant emergency incidents, complete plant failure/condition technical reports and
efficiency assessments.
5) Comply with the manufacturers and Territory Generation’s procedures and recommendations for the
maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment.
6) Contribute to the development and maintenance of site records to ensure accurate historical information for
maintenance purposes, including use of the maintenance management system and time confirmation of all tasks.
7) Undertake typical housekeeping duties.
8) Participate in an on call roster and travel to other stations when required.
Selection Criteria
Essential
1) A Grade Electrical/Fitter Mechanic trade qualifications with equivalent technical work experience within the
power generation industry.
2) Current full NT driver’s licence or ability to transfer.
3) Extensive experience utility scale generation plant.
4) Demonstrated ability to perform detailed fault-finding on complex electrical systems, isolate multiple energy
sources and work within permit to work systems.
5) Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and procedures.
6) Strong problem solving skills to enable resolution of administrative, operational or maintenance issues.
7) Proficient computer skills for the effective use of information technology, records, spreadsheets and
computerised maintenance management systems and ability to learn and operate computer based maintenance,
stores and office management systems.
8) Demonstrated competency in the area of work place safety and commitment to safe work practices.
9) Be self-motivated, possess an excellent work ethic and have the flexibility to work under pressure in a small team
to meet deadlines and achieve operation strategic objectives.
10) A demonstrated ability to learn with a strong continuous focus on self-progression
Desirable
1) Minimum 3 years experience in the power generation industry.
2) Cert III instrumentation.
3) High Risk Licences (CSE, Forklift, Working at Heights, EWP), current senior first aid or ability and willingness to obtain.
4) Current hazardous area electrical installation, inspection and maintenance certification.
5) Contractor management and supervision experience
