Our client is an Award-winning architecture and interior design practice based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. With 20 years plus experience gained in architectural and heritage restoration projects both locally and in France and Italy, they bring their understanding of structure, space and orientation to designing the exteriors and interiors of both residential and commercial projects. From the smallest to the largest of projects, they embrace challenges of all shapes, sizes, and complexity.
Due to the continued growth of the business, they are looking for a Project Architect to join their team. Working closely with the Director, the role will give you first-hand involvement in all aspects of project management from start to finish. Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of DA’s, CC and CDC submissions
• Preparation of construction documentation
• Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers
• Research, understand and comply with relevant BCA and Australian standards, including safe design principles
• Produce detailed working drawings and specifications
To be successful in this role, you will have 3-4 years’ post qualification experience with an advanced working knowledge of Archicad (19-23). You will be passionate about your work, with an exceptional eye for detail and a positive, proactive approach. You are a confident individual with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and work under pressure. Great interpersonal skills will ensure you enjoy the constant liaison you will have with your clients. You will be someone who loves to learn and keeps up to date with current styles, products and trends. An interest in interior design and an understanding of heritage buildings will be highly regarded.
