Reporting to the National Operations Manager - Solar, the Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the project delivery of some of ENGIE's most important and iconic commercial and small-utility solar projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver high quality electrical & solar project budgets and designs from project inception to operations and maintenance
• Create compelling designs, estimates and proposals for solar & renewable projects connected to LV and HV networks, including DC designs, cabling, switchgear selection, earthing and lightning protection, backup power systems, generators and transformers
• Build strong external relationships with customers and suppliers
• Provide technical support to sales and project group managers in the review of customer specifications and drawings
• Develop compelling budgets and proposals
• Design high quality solar engineering drawings and calculations
• Perform energy output simulations
• Evaluate and recommend products, suppliers and subcontractors
• Manage technical approvals process
• Perform site inspections and audits
• Collaborate with project managers and installers on construction timelines and quality
• Oversee commissioning and close-out process
• Manage solar Operations & Maintenance contracts
• Participate in technical product and tool development
• Interpret and apply applicable industry standards and other requirements as needed
• Other duties as directed by line manager

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Renewables or Energy Engineering
• Confirmed experience in commercial or utility solar system design
• Experience in LV and HV Electrical Engineering preferred
• Proven ability to take initiative and think critically on commercial, technical and financial aspects of solar projects
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSyst and Helioscope preferred
