About the Role

RPMGlobal is currently seeking a Mining Engineer to join our Advisory Metals Division. The role is primarily responsible for the provision of technical consulting services to our global client base.

The successful candidate will rapidly gain experience across numerous commodities and study types whilst working with a team of leading specialists in all aspects of the mining value chain. This role provides exposure to global sites, various projects, commodities and mining methods. It is essential the candidate has on-site experience.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Perth CBD office. Regular domestic and international travel is a requirement of this role when travel is possible.

Key Responsibilities

* Run Pit/Stope Optimisations and using systems to validate parameters used.
* Producing practical detailed pit and underground mine designs.
* Producing first principle mining cost modelling.
* Using propriety scheduling software.
* Determine equipment selection.
* Delivering auditable economic modelling.
* Primary underground ventilation design.
* Technical report writing for various studies.
* Work at client operations and carry out operational duties to support clients.
* Work with the on-site technical and operations teams to improve and optimise reserve estimation, mine planning and scheduling, geotechnical analysis, mining method selection, mine infrastructure project design and cost efficiency improvements.

About You

* Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering.
* Professional association membership of the AusIMM, AIG or a JORC recognised organisation.
* Experience at mine sites in technical and production roles.
* High performance, technically strong, self-motivated individual.
* Computer literacy with mainstream mine design software such as XPAC, Vulcan, Minex, Minescape, Whittle, MS Office and RPMs other proprietary software.
* The ability to communicate complex solutions to a variety of customer stakeholders, from technical to non-technical.
* Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form.
* Willingness to learn.
* Must be legally entitled to work in Australia and travel overseas.
