About the role



The Telephone and Online Community Builder is responsible for providing support, engagement and connection to individuals and families affected by alcohol, drugs and problem gambling who are specifically seeking help within and online setting.



About you



To be successful in this role you will possess:



  • Qualifications and experience in AOD, Gambling or Mental Health treatment

  • Experience in providing support within an online setting

  • The ability to provide effective brief intervention, moderation and support across a multitude of media (e.g. live online quick chat, sms, email, forum moderation)

  • The ability to apply the appropriate risk assessment, intervention and support strategies where required

  • Applicable knowledge of the Australian AOD and Gambling sectors

  • Be a member of or hold eligibility for PACFA membership or equivalent body

  • Post Graduate qualifications in the support and treatment of Addiction, AOD, Mental Health

  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • The ability to work productively in an autonomous environment
