Duratec is a multi-disciplined builder and maintenance contractor with over 15 branches across Australia servicing the Defence, Mining, Oil and Gas, Industrial, Marine industries along with Government assets and Commercial Infrastructure including heritage buildings.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Site Manager with a construction/water infrastructure background to join our growing Newcastle Team based out of Newcastle, however you will be primarily based on the project at Gloucester. This role involves site-based works. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the project team in all day to day operations and running of site activities for the project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Site Management of the project from set up to completion
  • Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Ensuring effective cost control and efficient running of the project
  • Coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
  • Project progress reporting to the Project Management
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program

ABOUT YOU

Along with demonstrated experience in a Site Manager role with construction, remediation and water infrastructure background, you will maintain:

  • Water infrastructure project experience in NSW working on new or refurbishment of steel and/or concrete water tanks and installation of trunk main or pipeline
  • Civil, earthworks, concrete experience
  • Installation of water reticulation, pumps, valves and VSDs
  • Previous working experience on council projects
  • Previous supervisory or site management experience in civil and building projects
  • Be a proven team player with the ability to positively build positive relationships, negotiate and influence
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop employees and build strong successful cohesive teams
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications
  • Mid Coast Council exposure an advantage but not essential
