Wild Tracks is looking for experienced walking track builders for a project in Kosciuzco National Park.

The project will involve arduous physical work in remote areas in all weather conditions, camping on site. We are looking for people who enjoy working in the bush, are capable of doing physical work, and are able to comprehend and implement specific instructions independent of direct supervision. Must have a positive attitude and work as part of a team for extended periods of time.

We are interested in the following attributes:

• Experience with stone work
• Understanding of Walking Track Construction principles
• Excavator experience/ticket
• Skid steer loader experience/ticket
• Experience working in remote areas
• Chainsaw ticket
• Medium Rigid License
• Tertiary qualifications in Conservation Management or Environmental Sciences
• Work Safely around Aircraft qualification
• Experience working in remote areas
• Medium Ridgid License

Mandatory qualifications:

• Senior First Aid
• White card
• Drivers License

Prefence will be given for people local to the Snowy Mountains region. Accomodation in Jindabyne can be provided for interstate applicants. We will be hireing right up until April.

The starting rate of employment is $30 per hour on a full time casual basis.

The project will run from Jan through to end of April or until it starts snowing. Ongoing employment may be available for the right candidates.
