Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an immediate need for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join its Operations business in Perth, WA on a full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Regional Piping / Mechanical Lead Engineer and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, you will :

  • Actively progress through the discipline Graduate Development Program towards becoming a Chartered Engineer in accordance with Engineers Australia
  • Interact, support and work with multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Be curious and energised to learn and develop both technically and professionally

Skills / Qualifications

Ideally, you will have over one year (post-graduation) professional experience working in a project engineering environment (EPC/EPCM) within the Oil & Gas industry in a similar Graduate Mechanical Engineering role.

In addition, you will have:

  • Suitable qualifications in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution with an average of 70 or greater
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with competency in effective report writing and IT proficiency
  • Flexibility to take on site travel to client locations throughout Australia and overseas
  • Courage to push the boundaries with a solutions mindset, focussed on delivery, and complemented by your collaborative and professional demeanour
  • The care and commitment to consistently work safely, with integrity, respecting and valuing your colleagues and the communities we serve

You must have full Australian work rights and currently reside in Western Australia to be considered for this role.
