JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Automation Engineer
Typical Duties include
- Technical, analytical, and operational knowledge within the QA Space as it relates to good software engineering & automation across the web application stack
- Ability to work within an Agile environment & influence best practice approaches to quality and automation- right from build to test automation and integration
- Support and own defining the quality and automation best practices and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of products, technology, process and team
- Create and maintain functional automation tests at the API and user-interface tiers
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in similar automation positions
- Writing test frameworks and processes including test plans/strategy, advanced scripting, execution and reporting of critical web based applications and APIs
- Experience with:
- Solid skills with UI automation using Selenium WebDriver UI, Test Café automation, Protractor preferably using BDD frameworks like Cucumber on Ruby , Java, Python or JavaScript language
- Automated testing using CI/CD methodologies and worked on Jenkins or similar tools
- Writing API performance tests using JMeter Framework
- Solid skills writing REST APIs tests using JS testing frameworks and building pipeline jobs to integrate them on CI Pipelines - Jenkins
- Strong communications skills, ability to adapt to technical/non-technical audiences and stakeholder management
