The Opportunity

Main Responsibilities Include

With strong growth in our Remanufacturing Team and service operations, our Brisbane branch (Wacol) has a new and exciting opportunity for a Workshop based Trades Assistant to join the Hitachi team on the afternoon shift (2pm - 10pm). In this position, you will play a crucial role assisting Fitters in the remanufacturing of key components. This role will give an experienced Trades Assistant exposure to OEM training and benefits and an opportunity to build on existing skills.

• Clean and Repair Reman components as per procedures
• Disassemble components in line with procedures
• Maintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and pack units when ready for dispatch
• Assist in store control including receiving and dispatch of Remanufactured equipment and products
• Forklift operation
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
  
  

You Will Also

As a professional Trades Assistant you will have a safety focus and abide by site safety processes at all times.

• Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
• Have an understanding of Mining, Earthmoving and/or Construction equipment
• Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
• Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Current Forklift License is desirable
• Dogging ticket, Spray painting & Sand/Soda blasting experience will be advantageous
