Golder has a new full-time opportunity within our Geotech team for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, based in Perth. The role includes providing technical advice and mentoring complex geotechnical issues. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and adaptive to change in demanding conditions.
Key Duties And Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing technical advice and mentoring on complex geotechnical issues to external clients and internal staff;
- Providing technical review of deliverables
- Fostering technical excellence and improvements in technical service offerings in the business;
- Managing and maintaining key client relationships, developing strategy, technical service offerings and significant business opportunities;
- Contributing to office strategy and mentoring staff with respect to their career growth;
- Project managing, budgeting, and quality control for consulting projects;
- Embracing and leading our strong H&S culture, providing safety leadership in identifying and alleviating and eliminating high priority safety hazards;
- Participating in industry groups and/or expert panels as part of maintaining a high industry profile and in the national and global Golder Technical Geotechnical Community within projects or other forums.
- Tertiary qualified in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering with CPEng accreditation, including previous operational, technical and management exposure in operational and consulting environments will be highly regarded;
- Experience on large, intermediate and small size jobs in a cross section of sectors, at a senior level;
- Excellent reputation across a range of Australian market sectors;
- Demonstrated depth of existing client, contractor, consultant, and supplier relationships across a variety of Australian infrastructure markets;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail;
