Full Time Construction Project Manager

$90,000 – $150,000 Inclusive SUPERANNUATION

SUMMARY

Sterling and Wilson are a solar EPC provider, providing customised solutions for solar power projects including for third parties operating in more than 26 countries with a presence in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Australia. Sterling and Wilson Solar Australia has been appointed the EPC Contractor for multiple projects around Australia and is supported by global counterparts.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager in the Solar/EPC environment to join the project team based at head office and will be required to travel to project sites. The position reports to the Head of Projects and will interact with company management and employees, clients, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders.

In this role as Construction Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning and management of construction projects and overseeing their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner.

DUTIES

• Lead and motivate the project team to meet or exceed all Project Targets and objectives
• Managing the work performance of self and team members, and developing alignment between team capability and business objectives
• Create and maintain strong relationships and clear lines of communication with key internal and external stakeholders
• Anticipate and be responsive to client and key stakeholder needs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all company policies and procedures.
• Managing project progress and adapt work as required
• Designing risk mitigation plans
• Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive team
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs in a timely manner

REQUIRED SKILLS

Education

Engineering background in Civil Engineering/ Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Project Management/ Construction qualifications

Experience

10 years of working experience in any construction company as a Manager Civil / Construction and handling large projects.

Relevant experience operating at a Project Management/ Construction level delivering similar style projects within solar/EPC environment or renewable energy.

Demonstrated experience in the management and coordination of construction activities including the development of construction programs and works

Extensive contract and specification development, management, and assessment experience

Job related Skills

Collaborative and clear leadership style and sound management skills

Ability to control budgets, administer contracts and develop work related procedures

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including written, verbal and presentation)
