The Principal Quality Engineer is a hands-on technical functional managerial role responsible for leading and managing a team of quality engineers and supporting them in their roles within their scrum teams, professional development of their skills and competencies, while also contributing to the quality engineering practices within the portfolio or tribe to improve quality gates. You will be accountable for designing, implementing and executing the test automation framework. You will lead and own the quality of some Loyalty products and be expected to continuously innovate and provide automation solutions to enable the team to scale.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of experience with Web, Services and Mobile Apps testing through manual and automated techniques.
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Information System, Software development or relevant field knowledge & experience
  • Expertise in leading, mentoring and coaching quality engineering teams, working closely with technology managers, delivery managers, portfolio and squad leaders improving quality gates
  • Provide technical expertise in test automation, methodologies, processes, tools and techniques across the teams
  • Extensive experience with version control tools like Git, Bitbucket etc
  • Experience in embedding best practice in application testing within project delivery teams
  • Experience in creating and managing automation test scripts, test strategies and test plans
  • Experience in industry standard automation frameworks
  • Experience in analysing test results, exploratory testing and creating defect reports
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo
  • Knowledge and experience of cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Expertise in defining and execution of testing principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined and ensure that the agile development teams are adhering to it
  • Excellent skills in workshop facilitation, presentation, consultation and negotiation
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing practices and delivery processes across CI streams
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban)
