About the opportunity

This opportunity will suit someone who is absolutely committed to delivering the highest level of customer service excellence as well as being able to juggle large volumes of competing priorities throughout the day. Our successful candidate will join the relief management team providing support and continuity across the portfolio for periods of planned leave.
The successful candidate will assume the primary responsibility and oversight of all activities onsite. You’ll need to be experienced with managing your time carefully and be available as the main interface dealing with an interesting and diverse range of stakeholders.
A typical day will likely consist of:
  • Oversight of the entire complex
  • Periodic inspections of common areas, facilities, plant and equipment
  • Report writing, populating management software with activities undertaken
  • Managing service providers against contracts service expectations
  • Catching up with strata committee reps
  • Emergency repairs management and after-hours phone support
  • Attendance of scheduled committee meetings
  • Providing recommendations to the strata committee about repairs and maintenance
  • Organising PPM services
  • Schedule in and facilitate requirements for building compliance checks and certification
  • Assist with providing information to help with the budgeting process
  • Collaborate with team members and operation’s staff, towards enhancing and evolving management systems
  • Provide input around building upgrade works and projects
  • Forge positive relationships with other team members, clients, owners, strata managers and contractors
About you
  • You have excellent relationship-building skills and are customer centric oriented.
  • You are self-driven and have excellent organisation skills to manage your ever-changing workload.
  • You are well presented.
  • You love learning, challenging ideas, seeking better ways to do things and thrive in a challenge-stress environment
  • You have at least 3 years’ experience working as a building manager or strata managers will also be considered
  • You know how to manage providers to ensure the most optimum of outcomes
  • You understand compliance, WHS obligations relating to contractors, strata and residential buildings.
  • You have experience with defect management and rectification works.
  • You regard your role as providing an essential service and enjoy aspects around promoting harmonious community living.
  • You enjoy the stability of and assurance of working with one of the largest companies that has over 50 years’ experience within the property management sector.
