Our client is a progressive engineering and production company who are specialists in the field of large, high performance metal components and cutting edge technology.

They are looking to fill multiple roles for motivated and talented Project Engineers with strong Mechatronics/Robotics backgrounds. 

The Role:

This position will play a leading role in the development of customer support including design modifications, customer documentation and training, testing and commissioning of our 3D printing / robotic welding equipment.

The position also provides substantial opportunities to further develop ones engineering skills with a new innovative company as it grows rapidly and globally.

Key Responsibilities include preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects and interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and delivering on those requirements

You will also be responsible for optimising manufacturing efficiency of robot programming and process control and development of functional specifications along with; 

• Manage efficiency and maintain the projects profitability
• Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications
• Managing the procurement of parts and components
• Testing and troubleshoot technical system faults
• Preparation of test plans and operator & technical manuals
• Training our personnel and customer personnel
• Provide hands on technical support
• Compliance with the applicable codes of practice, policies, performance standards and specifications

• Qualifications in Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 5 plus years professional experience
• Robotic Programming on ABB Robots
• Industrial manufacturing and robot welding 
• Machine control, safety and functional safety principles
• Materials handling and manufacturing system controls
• Writing technical documentation and training 
• Knowledge of configuration, programming, and commissioning of PLCs (Allen Bradley)
