You will hold demonstrated experience in a general facilities maintenance and building maintenance position. Coming from a background working with subcontractors and achieving the required service outcomes is key to being successful in role. As a team player who can actively promote a safe working environment will ensure that all health and safety standards are followed.
About The Role
Acacia Prison is one of the largest prisons in Australia, accommodating 1,525 male medium-security prisoners. Acacia has a focus on providing prisoners with educational, training and work opportunities that improve their chances of sustainable employment on release into the community.
Reporting to the Facilities Management Supervisor, perform general facility maintenance and repairs to building fabric within the Centre. You will carry out general facilities maintenance and necessary repairs and work with subcontractors and services involved in the delivery of facilities maintenance and project management services Team. You will undertake allocated periodic planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as detailed in the Asset Management Plan to ensure any risk hazards are identified and reduced and provide technical training, advice and support to members were required.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
- Demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Relevant Trade Certificate such as Certificate III in Carpentry or Certificate III in Building and Construction
- Demonstrated relevant experience in general facilities maintenance and building maintenance
- Sound background working with subcontractors and achieving the required service outcomes
- Sound knowledge of and experience in the use of Microsoft applications and systems
