Storage Investments Australia are seeking to augment our Design and Delivery Team with the addition of an Architect or Architectural Draftsperson with minimum of 5-6 years’ professional experience.

The Primary Purpose of the role is to drive the delivery of the upgrade and extension of Existing Facilities, the Second Stage of previous Developments and Storage and Retail fit out works.

The role will also include assisting the Development Team with the planning and documentation of new developments, and will suit an Architect or Architectural Draftsperson with the interest and ability to participate in Development and to manage building contracts.

Key Functions

o Concept Design Development for feasibility studies

o Architectural drafting using Revit Software

- Documentation for Development Approval Applications

- Site Plans, Floor Plans, Storage Unit Fitout Plans, Elevations, Sections, Key Details. 

- High quality 3D imagery for presentation to investors and marketing

- Tender Documents

o Prepare and submit Development Approval Applications

o Deal with Councils and Authorities to expedite Development Approvals

o Draft Storage Unit layout plans

o Prepare Tender Documents

o Manage the tendering and award of Building and Fit out contracts up to $2m in value

o Manage the works and provide contract administration of the building and fit out contracts

Qualifications and Experience

o Registered Architect with minimum 5-6 years post-graduate experience with commercial / industrial experience documenting on Revitt with 3D presentation capabilities.

o Contract Administration experience on commercial / industrial projects up to $2m.

o Architectural Draftsperson with equivalent drafting and contract administration experience

o Knowledge and understanding of codes and building regulations

o Ability to work with Structural, Services and Fire consultants to resolve design
